The Lew Center was completed in 1981 and was the prior undergraduate library.
James N. Lew, former Trinity College trustee, broke ground for the $1.5 million library in May 1980.
NBC News visited Trinity on April 22, 1981 to cover the Library Moving Day; students and faculty were given a day off from classes to help move the books from the old library to the new one. Approximately 300 students participated and saved Trinity $10,000.
