Which Style Do I Use?

Different TEDS and TGS programs use different citation styles. It's always a good idea to check with your professor if you are not sure which style to use.

TIU / Turabian / Chicago Style - Humanities Format (footnotes, bibliography)

  • Most TEDS and TGS students (with exceptions below)

TIU / Turabian / Chicago Style - Social Science Format (parenthetical - also known as author/date, reference list)

  • PhD students in ICS and EDS
  • DMin students

APA Style (American Psychological Association)

  • Counseling Psychology, MA/T and MEd/L

SBL (Society of Biblical Literature)

  • PhD THS students in OT and NT, and other biblical classes as required by the professor.
