Clearing cache in Safari (Mac)

To clear your cache in Safari (Mac)

  1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences, click Sharing, then select Content Caching.
  2. Click Options.
  3. Click Reset, then click Reset again to verify.

 

Opening a private browsing window in Safari

In Safari this is called a Private Window.  To open a Private Window in Safari:

  1. Go up to the File Menu
  2. Select New Private Window.

Privacy and Security Settings

  • For enhanced privacy and security settings: Preferences > Privacy tab and select ‘Prevent cross-site tracking’
  • To delete browser cookies: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data > Remove All
  • To stop your browser from asking to save your passwords: Safari > Preferences > Click the Autofill icon > Turn off all settings in Autofill
