The library has switched to a new login system called OpenAthens. You will use OpenAthens to login to online library resources, including databases, ebooks, articles and journals.
Problems logging in?
Your login will continue to be your TEDS username and password. Be sure to not include @tiu.edu with the username. Example: zjsmith1
If you encounter an error message, you may need to clear your history. Here are instructions on clearing your browsing history in Chrome.
If you use Zotero to automatically redirect to a proxy, see instructions on how to disable Zotero's proxy redirect.
For more help, contact the reference desk at libref@tiu.edu
ProQuest Ebook Central highlighting and notes
If you had previously had an account in ProQuest Ebook Central where you had saved highlighting and notes in books, that account can be merged with your new login. Contact Chris Chang at hcchang@tiu.edu with your old ProQuest username (which you would have created).
Single Sign-On
OpenAthens supports single sign-on, which means that it will remember if you have already logged in using a different Trinity service, such as your TEDS email, myTIU, Moodle, or other library resource. So it should mean that you will need to login less frequently.
Starting with Google or Google Scholar
If you haven’t authenticated already you can do so after your Google search. You will be able to access any resource in the search results as long as the library subscribes to it. To access the resource you will need to select login with OpenAthens, select Trinity International University from the list and enter your TIU username and password.
The disadvantage of this method is that you may come across a resource which the library does not subscribe to. In that case, OpenAthens will not allow access.
