Library Services During COVID-19 Precautions: Updates

Special Library Hours

The library building is currently closed.

At this time, patrons are not allowed inside the building. If you are a doctoral or masters student who needs to retrieve materials in your carrel, please contact Hope Mozo about being given temporary access.

The library will resume limited services on June 8, 2020.

Starting June 8, the library will offer a book pick-up service. Fill out the book request form on this page or at this link, and the library staff will pull the books and let you know when they are available. You can then pick them up at the front door of the library. You will also be able to request print books from other libraries through WorldShare. (I-Share will still be unavailable.)

Book returns

Overdue fines have been suspended for all books from Rolfing, I-Share and WorldShare, so you may wait to return them. The outside book drop at the library is open if you would like to return your books now.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at

Research Help

We are available for research assistance between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM Monday through Friday.

  • Chat with us using the interface available at the bottom right corner of every library webpage.
  • Call us at 847-317-4013.
  • For any other questions or concerns, or to set up an appointment time for a video-chat conversation, email
  • To contact a staff member directly, use the information on our Library Staff Page.

Getting Electronic Resources

Wherever you are, you have access to Rolfing's electronic resources.

If you need to access materials not directly available online, send us a WorldShare request.

  • Never used WorldShare before? Click here for step-by-step instructions.
  • For your ease and safety, we will send you PDF scans of resources rather than lending you physical items.
  • Bear in mind that our staffing is limited during this time. Please only request items you specifically need to complete your current projects.
  • If you need a resource from another library, please request a scan of a book section, chapter, or article. Full books cannot be obtained from other libraries at this time.
  • We'll process your requests as quickly as we can. Thanks for your patience!
  • Contact with any questions or concerns.

If you need a course reserve:

  • Professors/Instructors: Email Nathan Thebarge with the specific course materials you need and we'll provide you with a PDF you can add to your course Moodle page or distribute to your students.
  • Students: If the resource isn't available on your Moodle page, submit a WorldShare request and we'll send you a scan.

Current TIU students, faculty, and staff may submit print jobs using PaperCut.

1) Send the print job to the Library Lab copier using your PaperCut. account. If this is your first time, here are instructions for using PaperCut.

2) Email when you have sent the print job.

3) Wait for a confirmation email that we have received the print job and that it is available for pickup.

4) Stop by the library during any of our pickup hours to retrieve your document(s). Pickup hours are listed below.

Mondays-Thursdays: 9:00 am - 11:00 am, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Fridays: 9:00 am - 11:00 am, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

I-Share borrowing resumes July 20th!

Beginning on Monday, July 20 (barring any potential technical difficulties), you'll once again be able to request resources from I-Share libraries in Illinois by using our new Automated Fulfillment Network (AFN). Simply choose "I-Share Libraries" in OneSearch, scroll down to "Get it from other institutions" in the item's record, and place your request. It will be delivered to Rolfing (or whatever I-Share library location you request) within a few days.

You'll also be able to request books from Rolfing through this new AFN, so once we go live we'll discontinue the Summer 2020 Library Book Request form. Until then, though, feel free to submit your book and material requests below.
