Books:

  • 4 week loan period (28 days)
  • 3 renewal periods of 28 days each
  • New Books: 21 day loan, no renewals
  • Books on Display and Faculty Authors collection: 21 days, 2 renewals
  • All books can be recalled at any time.  

DVDs:

  • 7 day loan period
  • 3 renewal periods of 7 days

Audiobooks, CDs, and Cassettes:

  • 14 day loan period
  • 3 renewal periods of 14 days

2-Hour Reserves:

  • Loan period: 120 minutes
  • 1 renewal period of 120 minutes

1 Day Reserves:

  • Loan period:  1 day
  • No renewals

Loan periods: 

  • OverDrive ebooks: 14 days
  • EBSCO ebooks: 1-21 days
  • OverDrive audiobooks: 7 or 14 days

Checkout limits: 

  • OverDrive: 6 OverDrive ebooks and audiobooks at a time
  • EBSCO ebooks: 6 EBSCO ebooks at a time
  • Ebook Central ebooks: View ebooks online for an unlimited period. Some books may be checked out for 7 or 14 days. 

Visitor and courtesy patrons:

  • Anyone who has a valid library account may check out ebooks from OverDrive.
  • EBSCO and Ebook Central are limited to those who have a TIU network username and password.

Renewals:

  • When the book returns, you can check it out again. You can do this unlimited times if there are no holds.

No fines (book automatically returns)
