Library Services During COVID-19 Precautions: Updates

Mask Guidelines

Per CDC and administrative guidance, face masks are currently mandatory in indoor public space on the TIU campus.

We thank our patrons for their continued understanding this past year and a half, and we encourage everyone who enters Rolfing to make wise decisions in love for their neighbors. We will continue to update this page if/when any changes arise.

Special Library Hours

The library is open!

See the library hours page for the latest hours. Check back frequently for updates, as the hours may change due to changing circumstances.

Getting Electronic Resources

Wherever you are, you have access to Rolfing's electronic resources.

If you need to access materials not directly available online, send us a WorldShare request.

  • Never used WorldShare before? Click here for step-by-step instructions.
  • For your ease and safety, we will send you PDF scans of resources rather than lending you physical items.
  • Bear in mind that our staffing is limited during this time. Please only request items you specifically need to complete your current projects.
  • If you need a resource from another library, please request a scan of a book section, chapter, or article. Full books cannot be obtained from other libraries at this time.
  • We'll process your requests as quickly as we can. Thanks for your patience!
  • Contact ill@tiu.edu with any questions or concerns.

If you need a course reserve:

  • Professors/Instructors: Email Nathan Thebarge with the specific course materials you need and we'll provide you with a PDF you can add to your course Moodle page or distribute to your students.
  • Students: If the resource isn't available on your Moodle page, submit a WorldShare request and we'll send you a scan.

I-Share

Requesting through I-Share

You can request resources from I-Share libraries in Illinois by using our new Automated Fulfillment Network (AFN). Simply choose "I-Share Libraries" in Rolfing Search to do your search, then click on the book. Under "Get It" click the link to "Request." Select the library where you want to pick it up - Trinity International University is at the very bottom of the list. The book will be delivered to Rolfing (or whatever I-Share library location you request) within a few days.

Note that not all I-Share libraries are currently open. If you request a book that is not available at any open libraries, you will get an email saying your request has been cancelled. You may then request the book through WorldShare instead.
